Power to the brand

What happens when you set 100 cats loose in an IKEA store after all the customers have gone home?
IKEA's 'Herding Cats” experiment consisted of letting loose 100 (British: everyone knows that cats of English and Scottish descent are superior to regular cats) cats into their store in Wembley, overnight:
“just to see what happens”
T
he crazy felines jump on the furniture, play with each other, fight each other, well…you know what cats are all about. Naturally, when asked to “explain” this event, IKEA only stated that it was an experiment. After all, what is there to explain? This is just another one of their strong promotional actions that will be covered by the media worldwide and bring them even more power and awareness. The idea behind the work is that cats know better than anything what makes them feel happy inside, they live their lives in pursuit of their own comfort. Though I do hope they cleaned up afterwards for the sake of their customers.

Don't let the bed bugs bite...

Fashionista or Fraudster

She may be one of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses – and fashion’s new darling to boot, but I have always had a problem with Emma Watson. It baffles me how one minute no-one really noticed her at all, and then the next she has a campaign with Burberry and is everyone's new favorite style-icon. How can she be a style icon? What is HER style? Granted she is beaut, and classic, and everything the british pride themselves on being, but if she hadn't had the world's best designers courting her to wear their collections - would anyone really care?
